Public consultation launches for new neighbourhood next to Campbell Park

Plans for a new neighbourhood next to Campbell Park have been unveiled and local people now have the opportunity to have their say.

The proposals can be seen online at the Campbell Park Northside website.

A drop-in consultation event was held at MK Gallery on 17 July where people had a chance to meet the team and provide feedback to shape the proposals.

Developer, Urban Splash has been appointed by MKDP and is working with Glenbrook to deliver up to 1,850 new homes along the north side of the park. The development area along Silbury Boulevard was always designated for development but has remained empty until now.

Phase One of the development – between Overgate and the Grand Union Canal – was consulted on earlier this year, with a planning application being submitted this month.

The public are now being asked to comment on the vision and principles for the rest of the proposed new development, before a further planning application is prepared later this year.

“This area of land next to Campbell Park was always intended for a green neighbourhood, so it’s great to see these plans launched following the initial Phase One consultation.

“We encourage the local MK community to attend the drop-in session, to help shape the development, and to find out more about the about the positive impact it will have for our city.”
