The deadline to submit bids for the commercial development opportunity on our 7.3 acre site at Shenley Wood, southwest of Central Milton Keynes, has now passed.
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has exchanged on a deal with Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) to undertake the development of three phases of work at Campbell Park – one of the most important sites in the town. The plans will see the delivery of between 850 and 950 homes, bringing an extended residential offering to the area.

The Campbell Park site is flanked by the Grand Union Canal and Milton Keynes centre and the listed park itself. Early proposals for the first two phases include plans for hundreds of new homes, as well as pockets of green throughout the neighbourhood – something that will dampen down noise and absorb pollution, giving kids places to play, places to explore and wildlife to discover. Urban Splash will extend this offering as it develops plans for the newly exchanged phases 3-5.

Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) has added to its property ownership in Bletchley with the acquisition of the Brunel Centre shopping centre.
The purchase is an important step forward in the regeneration of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford and gives MKDP control of the future direction of the areas most in focus.
The investment has been made by MKDP following the town being awarded funding through the government’s Town Deal project, which has allocated £23m for Urban Regeneration programmes in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford.
The Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal Board is coordinating the use of the funding for various projects, with a general pot of £8.9m to be utilised by MKDP. The fund will identify sites and property assets that could be redeveloped or refurbished to achieve the ambitious aims of the Town Deal.
The Brunel Centre is the third asset MKDP has purchased in recent years, previously it acquired the police station and fire station sites adjacent to the Railway Station.

“The Brunel Centre site is essential to the successful regeneration of Bletchley Town Centre. MKDP purchasing it means that as regeneration plans develop, it allows clarity over the ability to deliver them successfully. MKDP has done a great deal and it’s a clear sign to the residents of Bletchley that things are moving forward, and that this is a serious regeneration project after 50 years of broken promises.
“It’s also a good opportunity to remind people that MK Council is currently consulting on what those town centre regeneration plans should look like through the Bletchley Town Centre SPD, and I’d urge all residents to contribute and have their say.”
Man Global Private Markets (Man GPM) has purchased 79 apartments at MKDP and Crest Nicholson’s Campbell Wharf development.
The homes will be offered at discounted rent and with a focus on key and essential workers, ensuring they have access to high quality housing within easy reach of their workplaces.

The 1.6 acre site i n Central Milton Keynes, opposite XScape, that has been vacant for 15 years has been sold by Milton Keynes Development Partnership, with construction due to start early in 2022.
It will be developed into a 330-apartment high quality major residential scheme that is due for completion in mid-2024.
The £80 million deal has been facilitated by Milton Keynes based developer Abbeygate who worked with Milton Keynes Development Partnership to ensure the planning consent was delivered and sourced an investor who wanted to make a valuable contribution to the city’s future.

Taylor Wimpey is to begin construction of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom homes at Daubeney Gate in Shenley Church End following completion of a deal with MKDP
Of the 73 homes, more than 36% (27 houses) will be affordable homes for local people in housing need. The properties will be available to purchase from Summer 2023.
